Morton Township Planning Commission will hold a series of public hearings…

The Morton Township Planning Commission will hold a series of public hearings on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. at the Morton Township Hall, 290 W Main Street, in Mecosta, MI.
 
The hearings will be for making a motion to recommend to the Morton Township Board of Trustees that the special land use either a) be declared null and void, or b) be granted an extension.
 
Hearing 1:
PL11-001 Parcel 11-009-006-000
Address: 9765 Lake Lodge Lane Owner: Aikman, John Et Ux.
A special use permit was granted in 2011 for the purpose of running a bed and breakfast.
 
Hearing 2:
PL12-002 Parcel 11-014-015-004
Address: 7062 9 Mile Rd Owner: Lobert, Mary E.
A special use permit was granted in 2012 for the purpose of a gun and ammunition store.
 
Hearing 3:
PL14-003 Parcel 11-010-006-500
Address: 8923 11 Mile Rd Owner: Peters & Marlette, LLC
A special use permit was granted in 2014 for the purpose of selling plants, annuals, perennials and vegetables.
 
Hearing 4:
PL19-001 Parcel 11-021-002-501
Address: 8701 90th Ave Owner: Eclectic Brewing, LLC
A special use permit was granted in 2019 for the purpose of a restaurant and brewpub.
 
Hearing 5:
PL23-001 Parcel 11-021-002-502
Address: 8625 90th Ave Owner: Titus Acquisitions, LLC
A special use permit was granted in 2023 for the purpose of storage units.
