Mandated functions are activities that Townships are required to perform.
Beyond the mandatory functions, Michigan townships are authorized to provide a wide variety of services such as fire protection, parks and recreation, trails, recycling programs, cemeteries, and other such programs.
The Morton Township Board of Trustees recognizes the trust has been given to each member by their election or appointment to the Board. This trust brings responsibilities that each member shall address fairly as they conduct the Township business.
The Board of Trustees will always strive to utilize ethical practices and compassion for the needs of those around them and to reflect those ideas in our township decisions.
Morton Township strives for excellence in providing quality of life, encouraging economic development and creating recreational opportunities.
