The Treasurer’s office is required to receive and take charge of all funds belonging to the township and to pay over and account for the funds. The treasurer is the township’s agent for collecting taxes. The treasurer diligently maintains accurate records of all income, receipts and disbursements, promptly deposits all receipts, and invests surplus funds
Online Payments
Morton Township has partnered with a third-party provider Point and Pay in order to facilitate Credit/Debit card or Electronic Check payments. The third- party provider charges a convenience fee for each payment. Morton Township does not collect or receive any transaction fees.
Fees
Credit / Debit Cards: 3% or $2.00 minimum fee
Electronic Check: $3.00 up to $10,000; $10.00 over $10,000
